Dear Potential Team Member,

I’m on the hunt for someone special to join the Mastermind family. This role will suit a person who is eager to be part of a team implementing social media and digital marketing campaigns. For the right undergraduate student, it could well be your dream job.

Intrigued? Let me tell you a little bit about our business. Mastermind Consulting is a boutique marketing consulting company based in Rozelle, NSW (yes just down the road from the vibrant foodie precinct of Balmain). We’re a small team and we work with amazing clients in the food, wine and lifestyle industries, and focus on marketing strategy, content creation, digital and social media.

The breadth of projects we work on for our clients means there’s great diversity at any given time and we get highly involved in our clients’ businesses. There’s always something new to learn, and a willingness from clients to implement strategic ideas.

Unlike a big agency, we’re nimble – a group of senior marketing professionals who have shaped our corporate work culture around flexibility. We understand the demands of study and work (we’ve all had first-hand experience), we now have families, but we work super hard to achieve the marketing objectives of our clients and are proud of the results we deliver.

So who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a capable social-media/digital analyst to join our team and help report on the social media and digital marketing campaigns that we’re running for our clients, as well as help with day-to-day projects.

That person will be open to learn, have the ability to grasp concepts quickly and have great attention to detail when communicating with our clients. You’ll often be required to implement client’s digital plans, analyse results, reporting and helping with social media advertising campaigns. If you’re not happy to get your hands dirty and actually make the campaigns come to life, this may not be the right role for you.

The role would suit a person in their final years of undergraduate or post-graduate study in Bachelor of Communication (Digital and Social Media), Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Commerce. Experience in digital and social media marketing is preferred, but not essential.

Our new team member will have strong initiative, excellent project management skills, attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously. They will have a broad understanding of the digital and social media eco-system and be happy to get involved in the execution of client digital and social media marketing initiatives. Good analytical skills to be able to review and continually optimise campaign performance is essential.

The ideal person will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications (or nearly completed) in marketing or communications-related area (preferred)
  • A strong customer service orientation and the ability to form long-term customer relationships
  • Strategic thinking with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Be results and performance focused with strong analytical/numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Have strong project management skills
  • A working understanding of all facets of web development including strategies, design, planning, implementation, launch and maintenance.
  • Understanding of and experience with core social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube.
  • Strong time management skills (including the ability to manage tasks concurrently)
  • A commitment to be part of a team.
  • A working understanding of HTML

We want someone who is committed to being part of the team longer term and we will invest to make this a role in which the right candidate learns and gains extraordinary experience. We spend our days training our clients about best practice social media, and we’re keen to pass on the knowledge and skills to our newest team member. The role is ideally 4 days per week, but we’ll tailor the role around the right candidate and their commitments. Minimum 3 days per week.

Sound like a team you’d like to join?

Please send through your cover letter outlining why you’d be the perfect fit for our team, the hours you’d be available, when you would be available to commence and your up-to-date CV to recruitment@mastermindconsulting.com.au. Applications close Friday 16th June 2017

Cheers

Trish Barry and the Mastermind team.

NOTE:  Australian candidates only who have necessary qualifications to work in Australia – no agencies please. Only successful candidates will be contacted.
