Emma Weir, Social Media Analyst

I’ve always loved to talk, so when I realised I could do that for a living, with a career in Public Relations, I was all in. I received my BA Hons degree in PR and went straight out into the world of fashion PR working for retailers and designers. I later worked across a wide spectrum of lifestyle brands, consultancy-side, before having a break to have my two children.

When I returned to the idea of working again I realised that social media had changed the communication landscape considerably. I decided to give into my fear of being irrelevant by studying Strategic Social Media Management, and then worked as a freelance consultant for small businesses. In 2017 my husband and I threw caution to the wind and left the UK to begin a new chapter of our lives in Sydney.

You will find me happiest in a quiet corner with a good book and a large glass of Pinot Noir or paradoxically, dancing on a table with a bottle of fizz in hand (to share with friends, of course).
Two boisterous boys keep me extremely active. As a family we love ferry rides across the harbour, finding the best gelato and having impromptu kitchen discos. I love nothing more than being with my favourite people for coffee or dinner and then relaxing with a longer than necessary scroll on Instagram.
