EMMA WEIR | COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Emma studied Public Relations in the UK, receiving a Bachelor of Honours and working for prestigious department store, Harrods, for a year in their press office.  She went on to work in lifestyle PR as an Account Manager then Account Director, spending over 10 years in London agencies representing fashion, interiors and watch brands. Curious about this new thing called social media she took her passion for communication and community and retrained as a Social Media Manager.

In 2017, Emma relocated from the UK to Sydney and joined the Mastermind team in 2018. Initially part of the Social Media team, she was soon offering PR and comms strategy and implementation into the mix too. When Covid struck, Emma and her family left Sydney to travel Australia in a tiny caravan for 18 months. The itinerary of course included wine regions and after falling head over heels with Margaret River, they relocated to WA in 2022.  

Emma rejoined the team in 2022 and achieved Meta Paid Specialist Certification, running ads for clients day-to-day, as well as planning organic social media content and PR campaigns to tell their stories. The consumer demand for sustainability led to Emma undertaking training in Sustainability Communication Strategies to future-proof our PR campaigns in this space. Emma is WSET 2 trained and earned a distinction.
