Shannon Harley, Editorial Consultant + Content Editor

Shannon Harley

Shannon has 15+ years’ experience as a successful magazine editor, writer, columnist, editorial consultant and content creator across a variety of platforms, including: television, print, digital, book publishing, social, not-for-profit and food education.

Shannon knows the world of food, wine and travel inside out from her global travels and tastings for Delicious. Magazine – where she was Editor for six years. These days you can still find her in the magazine as a columnist writing about food and wine trends in her column Future Proof, or jetsetting for The Australian and Escape. Shannon’s approach to creating engaging, compelling content and messaging is via her unique brand of storytelling: sometimes funny, sometimes poetic, always entertaining, informed and insightful. Through the lens of a sustainable and mindful approach to food, wine, travel and style, Shannon’s lifestyle content is highly creative, conscious and curated – and this ethos underlies all that she does for our Mastermind clients.

Shannon has called Europe home for many years. Until recently, she was based in London and spent a year living la dolce vita in Piedmont, the Italian region known for its truffles and Barolo wine, while undertaking a Master of Gastronomy at the University of Gastronomic Sciences. Shannon’s unique offering is the combination of her deep and insightful worldly food and wine knowledge, her insatiable curiosity and her storytelling ability.

Anything from Sicily – and we’re talking food and wine! Shannon loves the minerality of Etna Bianco. When it comes to Aussie wines, Shannon’s favourite drops are La Petite Mort Chardonnay from QLD’s Granite Belt, and Cullen Rose Moon Pet Nat from WA’s iconic biodynamic winery.

Shannon is passionate about the ways people can connect via food rituals. In 2020, she founded Hot Potato, a kids meal delivery service to nourish children and empower parents by taking the stress out of dinnertimes with fun, healthy food designed especially for kids. Shannon loves to feed people and Hot Potato is part of her journey to bring people together at the table.
