I am on the hunt for someone special to join our extended family. I know it won’t be the role for everyone, but for that someone special this could well be your dream job.

You see, I’ve built Mastermind Consulting over the last nine years quite differently to the high profile corporate roles that I held previously. As a mum of two children I wanted a company that truly breathed flexibility to work around my children and I’m so proud that this is what we’ve created. We work with some amazing clients in the food, wine and lifestyle industries, and focus on marketing strategy, content creation, digital and social media.

We’re a small and nimble consulting team who have recently moved into our new corporate home in Rozelle. Our team is made up of senior marketing professionals with a like minded vision. We are ambitious, but understand that some days we need to pick up sick children, attend family functions or balance post graduate study.

The breadth of projects that we work on for our clients’ means that there’s great diversity at any given time and as a small team we get very highly involved in our client’s business. There’s always something new to learn, and a willingness from clients to implement strategic ideas across digital, social media and content marketing projects.

We’re looking for a like-minded individual to work in our team helping to liaise with our fabulous clients but also taking a hands on role in implementing digital and social media campaigns.

The role would ideally suit someone who has come from an agency background, in roles like Digital Account Manager, Digital Producer or Social Media Strategist, but a staff member with broader marketing skills looking to get back into the workforce could also be ideal.

SO who are we looking for?

Our new team member will have strong initiative, excellent project management skills, attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously. They will be happy to get involved in the execution of client digital and social media marketing initiatives and have good analytical skills to review and continually optimize their campaign performance.

The ideal person will have:

  • At least five years’ marketing experience with three years’ recent experience in the digital/social media environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or communications-related area (preferred)
  • A strong customer service orientation and the ability to form long-term customer relationships
  • Strategic thinker with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Results and performance focused with strong analytical/numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills
  • Working understanding of all facets of web development including strategies, design, planning, implementation, launch and maintenance.
  • Up-to-date experience with SEO, SEM, EDM, e-commerce, Google Tools (preferred)
  • Understanding of and experience with core social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube.
  • Understanding and experience with influencer engagement to identify and implement social media influencer campaigns.
  • Strong time management skills (including the ability to manage tasks concurrently)
  • Commitment to being part of a team.

Ideally this is a full time role given the number of clients’ we are assisting, but, I will tailor as a part time role for the right candidate (4 days min or shorter hours).
