Sophie is a custom publishing expert with experience in copywriting across many platforms. She has strong communication skills, a passionate love of the English language and a sensitive awareness of commercial requirements having worked in editorial content generation for 15 years.
Sophie’s gained her stripes while working on Gourmet Traveller WINE magazine writing features and managing the content of this highly respected title. The mass market world beckoned, so she moved to Australian Table magazine, the official Coles Supermarket title, and, as editor, led that publication to become a great sales success and learned loads about how one of Australia’s biggest retailers operates. Several years later she launched BBC Good Food magazine, a joint venture between ACP Magazines (now Bauer Media) and the UK’s BBC.
These days, Sophie has moved on from working in-house at magazines and now creates content for the digital world, working mainly as a content marketing strategist and creator with Mastermind but also with direct clients. And she continues to write for old-school magazines.
Sophie also teaches features writing to Diploma and Bachelor of Journalism students at Sydney’s Macleay College.

Oh, and her partner is a willing participant in the business of maintaining control, as well as enjoying food and wine in equal measure.
